JOB TITLE: Mill Director
1- FUNCTIONAL AREA: Production/Technical Matters
2- MAIN ROLE: Technical Director/Production Director
3- RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
The responsibilities and objectives of the Mill Director contain basically following activities and competencies:
1) To guarantee the working and optimization of all internal processes of the production plant (technology, production, maintenance, quality, logistic and support services) with regard to quantity and quality.
2) Guiding and training of the management team of the production plant
3) Ensures the realization of the production plans in terms of volume, quantity, time and costs and previews periodical adjustments.
4) Controls the operational functioning of the mill with the objective to coordinate immediate action in case of deviations and to take connective measures.
5) Optimizes the use of the productive resources to guarantee the full use of the installations and the necessary level of productivity.
6) Guarantees that the rules and regulations with regard to safety and working environment are respected.
7) Guarantees and develops a proper level of professionality of the employees involved in the various activities of the mill.
8) Proposes the acquisition of necessary recourses to reach the production requirement and the efficiency of the mill (persons, equipment and investments) and guarantees the realization of the approved investments.
9) Undertakes the necessary actions to improve the efficacy and the efficiency of the mill, guaranteeing a production in conformance with the previewed specifications.
Hierarchical and functional dependence:
The mill director reports hierarchically to the General Manager and functionally to the Technical Director . The spirit of this dependence is on the basis of team work, on the correct and timely involvement of the respective responsible persons/departments.
